StockTools.ai is operated by Combo Ventures, LLC (Florida). We built this site to need as little of your data as possible, and this page describes what it actually collects rather than what we would like it to collect.
Using the site without an account
You can read everything here without signing in, and we do not require an account to use the research tools. When you are signed out, the numbers you enter into calculators and your "Analysis Memory" (the context that follows you between tools) are stored in your browser's localStorage only. Clearing your browser storage erases them.
Accounts, and what we store when you have one
Accounts are optional, and you can sign in with a magic link sent to your email address or with Google. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google in order to identify your account; we do not receive your Google password.
When you are signed in, we store on our servers: your email address, your plan and its billing status, and the data you choose to save in the product. That includes trading journal entries and watchlists, which are stored in our database so they follow you between devices. Journal entries can contain free-text notes you write, so treat that field as something we hold rather than something that stays on your machine. We also keep ordinary server logs, and records of which alerts you have subscribed to and when we sent them.
We do not sell any of it, we do not publish it, and we do not use your journal or watchlist contents to build advertising profiles. You can delete your account and its stored data by writing to the address below.
Payments
Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. We store the identifiers Stripe gives us so we can tell which plan you are on.
We use Resend to deliver sign-in links, alerts, and any newsletter you have opted into, which means your email address is processed by Resend for that purpose. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not close your account or stop sign-in links.
Analytics and cookies
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service that does not track you across sites and does not collect personal data. We see aggregate counts (page views, which tools are used, how tools connect), never your calculator inputs. We set no advertising cookies and use no ad-tech trackers. If you sign in, we set a session cookie so the site knows who you are; that is a functional cookie, not a tracking one.
Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to us and we will delete the account and its data.
