About StockTools
StockTools.ai is a research site for investors and traders, online since July 2026. It publishes data pages built from public filings and public market data, plus calculators, a trading journal and other tools that run in your browser. It is operated by Combo Ventures, LLC, a Florida company, and run by a small team.
What it is not
We publish information, never recommendations: no buy, sell or hold, no price targets, and no ticker is ever paid to appear. We are not a registered investment adviser or a broker-dealer, and nothing here is advice for your situation. The disclaimer sets this out in full.
Where the numbers come from
- Company figures come from filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission: annual and quarterly reports, current reports, proxy statements, insider (Form 4) and fund (13F) filings.
- Stock prices are end-of-day market data from Databento, never live, and each says which session it is from. Crypto prices are delayed and labelled so.
- Other data comes from public sources including FINRA (short interest), the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), the US Treasury, the CFTC, the Clerk of the House and the Federal Register.
Every provider we read is listed with its owner, its terms, how often it refreshes and what breaks when it fails, on the provider register.
Measured, estimated and missing
- Every figure carries its date and the filing or dataset it came from.
- Some figures are estimates, such as an earnings date before the company confirms it. Those are labelled as estimated, and how often our estimates were right is published on the earnings date accuracy page.
- When a figure cannot be computed, the page says why in words instead of showing a number or a dash.
- The rules behind every number are on the methodology page.
AI on this site
Some features use AI models, such as the AI brief and committee reads and the move explainers, and those pages say so. Each AI read prints how many of its sentences state a figure and whether each agrees with the figure our code derived, and every disagreement is listed on the AI figure check. The data pages and calculators are computed by code. AI can make mistakes, so check anything important against the filing it cites.
How it is paid for
The data pages, the calculators and the journal in your browser are free. Paid plans add AI features with a daily allowance, higher limits (earnings reminders, baskets, assistant connector calls), trade history kept across days and, on the top plan, time with the team. Each plan and what it includes is on the pricing page.
Report an error
If a number looks wrong, email contact@stocktools.ai with the ticker, the page and the figure, or use the contact page, which has a ready-made correction email. Because every figure cites its filing, we can trace it and fix it. Changes to the site are recorded, dated, on the changelog.
