COMMON STOCK INFORMATION
Our Common Stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “UNF”, while our Class B Common Stock is not publicly traded. On July 8, 2021, our Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.25 per share of Common Stock and $0.20 per share of Class B Common Stock. Both dividends were paid on September 28, 2021 to shareholders of record as of September 7, 2021. On October 20, 2021, we announced that we would be raising our quarterly dividend to $0.30 per share for Common Stock and to $0.24 per share for Class B Common Stock. The amount and timing of any future dividend payment is subject to the approval of the Board of Directors each quarter.
The approximate number of shareholders of record of our Common Stock and Class B Common Stock as of October 22, 2021 was 57 and 42, respectively. We believe that the number of beneficial owners of our Common Stock is substantially greater than the number of record holders because a large portion of our Common Stock is held of record in broker “street names”.
