ITEM 3—LEGAL PROCEEDINGS
The nature of the legal proceedings against the Company
is discussed at Note 21 to the financial statements, which are included in this Form 10-K.
The Company has reported all cases instituted against
it through October 1, 2022, and the results of those cases, where terminated, to the SEC on its previous Form 10-Q and 10-K reports, to
which reference is hereby made.
There were five lawsuits formally instituted against the Company during
the three months ending December 31, 2022. As follows:
The City of Buffalo v. Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc., et al. ,
filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York for Erie County on December 20, 2022.
The City of Rochester v. Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc., et al. ,
filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York for Monroe County on December 21, 2022.
Rossiter v. Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc., et al. , filed in the Sullivan
County Superior Court for the State of New Hampshire on December 13, 2022.
Jones v. Sturm, Ruger & Co. , filed in the U.S. District Court
for the District of Connecticut, on October 4, 2022.
Copeland v. Sturm, Ruger & Company, et al. , filed in the U.S.
District Court for the District of New Jersey, on October 27, 2022.
