Item 2. Properties The Company uses the following principal physical properties in connection with the manufacturing and sales of graphite electrodes and corporate administrative operations. The total capacity utilization, reflecting production volume as a percentage of production capacity, of our graphite electrode manufacturing facilities in Calais, France, Monterrey, Mexico, Pamplona, Spain and St. Marys, Pennsylvania, was 72% and 58% for the years ended December 31, 2021 and December 31, 2020, respectively. Production capacity reflects expected maximum production volume during the period depending on product mix and expected maintenance outage. Actual production may vary. The properties that we own are encumbered by our 2018 Credit Agreement and our 2020 Senior Secured Notes.
