Import your E*TRADE trades

E*TRADE already exports your trade history as a CSV. Drop that file into the free StockTools trading journaland it rebuilds your closed trades — P&L, win rate, and your edge by setup — with no manual typing. The file is parsed in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

WHERE IT LIVES IN E*TRADE
At a Glance → Transactions → Download

Step by step

  1. 1Sign in at etrade.com and open the brokerage account.
  2. 2Go to Transactions and set the date range.
  3. 3Click Download and choose the CSV (spreadsheet) format.
  4. 4In the StockTools Journal, click Import CSV and choose the file.
WHAT THE FILE LOOKS LIKE

E*TRADE’s CSV carries TransactionDate, TransactionType, Symbol, Quantity, Price, and Commission per fill. Buys and sells are matched into round-trip trades.

Open the journal & import →E*TRADE help center →

Broker menus move around; if a step has shifted, the E*TRADE help center above has the current path. The import reconstructs round-trip trades from your fills and skips any position still open — a journal logs what you closed. This is a record-keeping tool, not trading advice.
