The Russell 2000 Index, which includes the Company’s common stock, is a stock index consisting of 2000 publicly-traded small-cap companies. We use the Russell 2000 for peer benchmarking in certain compensation arrangements with certain of our employees. We believe the Russell 2000 provides more meaningful information than the Nasdaq Biotechnology Index because the breadth of the latter index contains significant diversity in market capitalization, stage of clinical development, total addressable markets, and other factors.
