ITEM 2 . PROPERTIES.
Our facilities in Israel, which house our research and development and certain production and management functions, are in Jerusalem, Israel. Most of our clinical development, clinical operations and regulatory functions are located in the United States. Under a lease agreement with Unihead Biopark Ltd., that extends through 2028, we lease approximately 622 square meters of office and laboratory space. We have the option to terminate the lease early in December 2024 and in June 2026. The average rent over the current term is $180,000 per year.
We believe that our current office and laboratory space in Israel is sufficient to meet our anticipated needs for the foreseeable future and is suitable for the conduct of our business. We believe that suitable additional space would be available if required in the future on commercially reasonable terms.
