Item 2. Properties
We lease office space for corporate and administrative functions and laboratory space in South San Francisco, California under a sub-sublease that expires in December 2023. We also lease office space that was used for administrative functions in Carmel, Indiana under a lease agreement that expires in August 2023. In February 2021, we subleased substantially all of the office space under the lease in Carmel, Indiana for the remainder of its term. Our China subsidiary leases registrational offices in Shanghai and Beijing under leases that expire in May 2022 and October 2022, respectively.
We believe these leased facilities are adequate for our current needs and that additional space will be available in the future on commercially reasonable terms as needed.
