Properties
Leased Properties. The Company
leases space for its principal offices and for some of its insurance operations in an office building located in Atlanta, Georgia under a lease which continues until either party provides written notice of cancellation at least twelve months in
advance of the actual termination date. The lease, which commenced on November 1, 2007, provides for rent adjustments on every fifth anniversary of the commencement date. Under the current terms of the lease, the Company occupies approximately
49,586 square feet of office space. In December 2022, Delta Life Insurance Company, the owner of the building, transferred title to the building to 4370 Peachtree LLC. Each of Delta Life Insurance Company and 4370 Peachtree LLC is controlled by
an affiliate of the Company.
American Southern leases space for its office in a building located in Atlanta, Georgia. The lease term expires September 30, 2026. Under the terms of the lease, American Southern occupies
approximately 17,014 square feet.
The Company believes that its current properties are in good condition, and are sufficient for the operations of its business.
