Item 3. Quantitative and Qualitative Disclosures About Market Risk.
As a “smaller reporting company” as defined by Item 10 of Regulation S-K,
the Company is not required to provide the information required by this item.
We are exposed to market risk related to changes in interest rates. As of September 30, 2021, our cash and cash equivalents totaled $135.8 million and our marketable securities totaled $94.1 million. As of September 30, 2021, our cash equivalents consisted of interest-bearing checking accounts and money market funds and our marketable securities are comprised of commercial paper, asset-backed securities, U.S. treasury securities and short-term highly liquid, high credit quality corporate debt securities. Our primary exposure to market risk is interest rate sensitivity, which is affected by changes in the general level of U.S. interest rates. Due to the short-term nature and the low risk profile of our interest-bearing accounts, an immediate 10% change in interest rates would not have a material effect on the fair market value of our cash and cash equivalents or on our financial position or results of operations.
