Index
Since our founding as a public company in 2007, each time we have been successful in generating cash relating to the successful outcome of litigation, we have made a special distribution to common
shareholders. In 2010, a distribution of $10 per common share closely followed a litigation outcome that resulted in our receipt of $200 million. In 2020, a distribution of $20 per share closely followed a litigation outcome that resulted in our
receipt of $454 million. In 2023, we paid a one-time capital dividend of $20 per share of common stock, to shareholders. Over the course of VirnetX’s history as a public company, VirnetX has distributed over $165.9 million in cash to shareholders.
