Market Information and Holders
Our common stock is currently quoted on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol “SMPL.”
As of October 20, 2021, there were 95,834,960 shares outstanding and 15 record holders of our common stock.
Dividends
We currently do not pay dividends and have not paid any cash dividends on our common stock to date. We currently intend to retain our future earnings to finance the development and expansion of our business and as such, we do not expect to pay any cash dividends on our common stock in the foreseeable future. The payment of future dividends, if any, will be at the discretion of our Board of Directors and will depend on our financial condition, results of operations, capital requirements, restrictions contained in current and/or future financing instruments, provisions of applicable law, and any other factors our Board of Directors deems relevant.
Issuer Purchases of Equity Securities
On November 13, 2018, the Company announced that its Board of Directors had adopted a $50.0 million stock repurchase program. Under the stock repurchase program, the Company may repurchase shares from time to time in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions. The stock repurchase program does not obligate the Company to acquire any specific number of shares or acquire shares over any specific period of time. The stock repurchase program may be suspended or discontinued at any time by the Company, and does not have an expiration date. During the fifty-two weeks ended August 28, 2021, the Company did not repurchase any shares of common stock. As of August 28, 2021, approximately $47.9 million remained available under the stock repurchase program.
