Market for Registrant's Common Equity, Related Shareholders Matters, and Issuer Purchases of Equity Securities Market Information Our common shares have been listed on the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") under the symbol "EARN" since May 1, 2013. Holders of Our Common Shares Based upon a review of a securities position listing as of the close of business on March 8, 2024, we had an aggregate of 107 holders of record and holders of our common shares who are nominees for an undetermined number of beneficial owners. Unregistered Sales of Equity Securities Pursuant to our 2023 Equity Incentive Plan, on December 14, 2023, we granted 14,473 restricted common shares to certain of our partially dedicated employees. The restricted common shares are subject to forfeiture restrictions that will lapse with respect to 7,237 of the common shares on December 14, 2024 and 7,236 of the common shares on December 14, 2025. Such grants were exempt from the registration requirements of the Securities Act based on the exemption provided in Section 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act. Issuer Purchases of Equity Securities On June 13, 2018, our Board of Trustees approved the adoption of a share repurchase program under which we are authorized to repurchase up to 1.2 million common shares. The program, which is open-ended in duration, allows us to make repurchases from time to time on the open market or in negotiated transactions, including through Rule 10b5-1 plans. Repurchases are at our discretion, subject to applicable law, share availability, price and our financial performance, among other considerations. As of December 31, 2023, we had remaining authorization to repurchase up to 725,808 common shares under the share repurchase program.
