Item 5. Market for Registrant’s Common Equity, Related Stockholder Matters and Issuer Purchases of Equity Securities
The Company’s common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol: ALG. On February 21, 2025, there were 12,063,468 shares of common stock outstanding, held by approximately 68 holders of record, but the total number of beneficial owners of the Company’s common stock exceeds this number. On February 21, 2025, the closing price of the common stock on the New York Stock Exchange was $188.90 per share.
On January 2, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Company declared a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per share which was paid on January 29, 2025 to holders of record as of January 16, 2025. The Company expects to continue its policy of paying regular cash dividends, although there is no assurance as to future dividends as they depend on future earnings, capital requirements and financial condition. In addition, the payment of dividends is subject to restrictions under the Company’s bank revolving credit agreement. See “Management’s Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations - Liquidity and Capital Resources” in Item 7 of Part II of this Annual Report on Form 10 - K for a further description of the bank revolving credit agreement.

Purchase of Equity Securities
On October 31 2024, the Company announced that its Board of Directors approved a share repurchase program under which the Company is authorized to repurchase in the aggregate up to $50.0 million of its outstanding stock over 5 years, through October 30, 2029. The extent to which the Company may repurchase

shares, and the timing of such purchases, will depend upon market conditions and other corporate considerations as determined by the Company’s Board and management.
